At NO TEARS, we prioritize your privacy above all else. This privacy policy describes how MSMJ ("the Developer") handles your data when you use the NO TEARS application.
NO TEARS does not collect, store, or share any personal information.
- No accounts are required.
- No tracking or analytics are used.
- No central servers store your conversations.
All communication (text, files, voice, and video) is established directly between you and the peer using Peer-to-Peer (P2P) technology. Data flows directly from one device to another without being routed through our servers.
All media and data streams are end-to-end encrypted using military-grade security standards (SRTP and DTLS). Only the devices in the session hold the keys to decrypt the communication.
The app requires the following permissions to function:
- Camera: For video calls.
- Microphone: For voice calls.
- Storage: To share and save transmitted files.
- Network Access: To establish the P2P connection.
These permissions are used exclusively for active sessions and are never used for background monitoring.
The app includes a "Panic" feature that allows users to instantly wipe all local session data. This data is stored only in the device's volatile memory and is purged automatically when the app is closed or when the panic trigger (shake/backgrounding) is activated.
